JUAN ANGEL COLLADO’S TESTIMONY
THE MIRACLE OF THE SUN
During those days of apparitions, on the seventh day, wednesday April 29, 1953, Our Lady said to the children to tell their teacher, Doña Josefa Rios, that She will perform a great miracle on monday May 25, a miracle that many people will be able to see it and that it will be recorded in history.

When monday May 25 came, at eleven o'clock in the morning, on a heavy rain and before a crowd of over 100,000 people, a rain of many colors began, and all the people was receiving that rain in their hands, and when it ceased all noticed that they all were dry.
Then Juan Angel, the main seer, told everyone to look up to heaven, and they realized that the sun was so big and that they were able to see it without a problem. Then, the sun began to spin and change into many colors. Suddenly, they saw the sun coming toward them in a high speed, in fear people went into their knees and began to pray, then it stopped and returned to its site and to its normal size.
​Many years after, the miracle of the sun repeated once again at the celebration of the 38th Anniversary, on sunday April 21, 1991, before a crowd of over 100,000 people from different countries who participated in that place that day.
In Sabana Grande, just as in other sites of apparitions, Our Lady blessed the water of the well where She appeared, with the promise that anyone who drink from that water with faith will be healed.
From then on, thousands of people began to visit that place, people not only from the island of Puerto Rico, but from many different countries and many of them received their healing in a miraculous way.
From that moment until our days thousands of miracles are still being performed by the Blessed Virgin with the water She blessed.
Nora Freyre, a famous painter from Mayaguez, Puerto Rico, heard that Our Lady was appearing at Barrio Rincon in Sabana Grande, and that She had blessed the water of the well and that many healing miracles were taking place with that water.

So she, full of faith, went to that place and once she drank from that water she was instantly healed after being paralyzed in her wheelchair for over eight years.

Georgina Politis, a greek woman from Miami traveled to Puerto Rico once she heard of the manifestations of Our Lady and of the healing water, willing to obtain healing from her disease.

She've been suffering of a chronic ailment in her neck for a while, and she couldn't move or hold her head without the help of an orthopedic device. She drank some water from the well and she was healed at that very moment.

Those days of apparitions attracted people not only from the whole island of Puerto Rico, but also from other countries as well, people who wanted to be present in those supernatural events. Among them were the media who was present most of the days, but especially on the last day, the day of the great miracle that Our Lady said She was going to perform.
CANONICAL CORONATION
On November 23, 1986, at the Juan Pachín Vicens Auditorium, in Ponce, Puerto Rico, a Solemn Mass was celebrated in gratitude for the approval of the private catholic association without legal personality.

It was celebrated by the President of the Puerto Rican Episcopal Conference, Msgr. Juan Fremiot Torres Oliver, he canonically crowned the statue of Our Lady of the Rosary of el Pozo before a crowd of over 20,000 people.
